# Warp — The Open Source Freight Network
> Warp is the open source freight network: a cross-dock LTL carrier and AI-powered freight network with transparent pricing, shared infrastructure, and cost savings that pass through to shippers. No hidden broker margins, no fuel surcharges, no accessorial add-ons. 1,400+ active lanes, 50+ cross-dock facilities, 9,000+ cargo vans and box trucks, 20,000+ carrier partners. Trusted by Walmart, HelloFresh, DoorDash, Saks Fifth Avenue, Gopuff, and Kith.
## What open source freight means
Open source freight does not mean the code is on GitHub. It means the economics are open. Traditional freight brokers buy capacity at one price and sell it at a higher price — shippers never see the spread. Warp inverts this: transparent per-pallet pricing, shared cross-dock infrastructure, and a cost structure that gets cheaper as more shippers join. The savings go back to shippers, not intermediaries. The openness is structural — locking down the network would destroy the density that makes it work.
