# Read AI
> Read AI is an AI-powered meeting intelligence platform that helps individuals and teams capture, understand, and act on meetings through summaries, transcripts, insights, and automated workflows.
Read AI provides agentic AI features that may join meetings as an automated assistant when explicitly authorized by users, generate post-meeting summaries, action items, and analytics, assist users with follow-up tasks and productivity workflows, and operate on behalf of users only within user-configured permissions. These agentic behaviors are user-initiated, user-controlled, and governed by Read AI's product interfaces and policies.
