# Petus AI
> Petus is a pet-care platform connecting AI guidance, health records, care reminders and sharing with an owner's own veterinarian. The app is available worldwide. Support is most complete for dogs and cats; rabbits, birds and other companion animals are welcome, with some features depending on species.
## What Petus does
- AI guidance: ask about everyday care, food, behaviour or a change you have noticed. Saved pet history provides context. When an answer uses the veterinary knowledge library, its sources are shown.
- Health records: keep documents, photos, symptoms, weight, medication and vaccination history together. Owners can review saved information, export the record and share it with their own veterinarian.
- Photo checks and symptom triage: use observations and supported photos to help decide the next step, including when veterinary care is needed. These tools do not provide a veterinary diagnosis.
- Lab report explanations: upload supported lab reports for explanations in plain language and tracking of results over time.
- Breed and DNA tools: identify possible breeds from a photo or import a supported DNA report. Available insights depend on the animal and the information supplied.
- Reminders and care calendar: organise routine care, medication and follow-up tasks.
- Guest tools: try food, nutrition and everyday behaviour guidance without creating an account; the relevant species and safety boundaries apply.
- Petus Shop: browse products for everyday pet care at https://petus.shop/. Current catalogue listings link to external sellers. Product availability, prices and seller terms should be checked at the destination.
