# Globalping
> Globalping is a free, open-source platform for network testing, monitoring, debugging, and benchmarking from a globally distributed probe network.
Globalping lets users run internet measurements such as **ping**, **traceroute**, **DNS**, **MTR**, and **HTTP** from many locations worldwide. It is built for debugging routing issues, benchmarking CDN/DNS/anycast performance, checking global availability, and understanding latency from different networks and regions. It is considered a modern alternative to RIPE Atlas.
