# Invoket — Pre-Action Checks for AI Agents > The checks agents run before they act — verify bank accounts, phone numbers, laws in force, weather and vehicles against official sources, with provenance in every answer. You only pay for answers. Invoket gives AI agents the checks they run before acting: before paying (IBAN validation, sanctions screening, IBAN repair), before messaging (offline phone validation), before advising or signing (French and EU law in force, version history and diffs), before planning or insuring (weather forecasts, climate history and event indices), and before buying a vehicle (VIN decode, recalls, Crit'Air). Every response is computed from official sources — national bank registries and the EPC register, OFAC/EU/UN lists, LEGI and EUR-Lex, NOAA GFS/GEFS and Copernicus ERA5, NHTSA vPIC — and carries a provenance block (source, fetch time, freshness). Most single-call endpoints include one free call per day. You only pay for answers: no usable result, no charge. Invoket is an x402 payment gateway that monetizes microservices for autonomous AI agents (machine-to-machine). Each endpoint answers 402 Payment Required with an `accepts[]` array of payment options; sign one and re-submit it via the `PAYMENT-SIGNATURE` header. You are only charged on success — probing an endpoint never charges. A settled success returns a `PAYMENT-RESPONSE` header; a 2xx response that carries no usable result is not charged and returns no `PAYMENT-RESPONSE`, which you can verify mechanically. GET endpoints also accept POST with a flat JSON body mirroring the query parameters; a parameter already present in the URL query takes precedence over the body.
